Coastal surveillance and naval command-and-control systems rely on cameras, radar, fence sensors, access control and UAVs, many of them connected OT and IoT devices. That makes them a target in their own right. An attacker who can blind a camera or tamper with a sensor can shape what commanders see, and a cyber incident can quietly become the first step of a physical operation. At the 10th NMIOTC Conference on Cyber Security in Maritime Domain, Dr. Michalis Smyrlis, CTO of Sphynx presented how continuous cyber assurance can be built into coastal surveillance C2, so that risk, threat intelligence and incident response sit in the same operational picture commanders already use. The aim is resilience that is engineered, measured and maintained every day, not assumed between audits.
