Η συζήτηση αναφέρθηκε επίσης στον ρόλο της τεχνητής νοημοσύνης στο σημερινό τοπίο της κυβερνοασφάλειας. Καθώς η τεχνητή νοημοσύνη ενσωματώνεται τόσο στις στρατηγικές επίθεσης όσο και στα εργαλεία άμυνας, το χάσμα μεταξύ όσων προσαρμόζονται και όσων εξακολουθούν να λειτουργούν με παρωχημένες μεθόδους μεγαλώνει.
Ένα από τα σημαντικότερα θέματα που συζητήθηκαν ήταν η αυξανόμενη έκθεση των περιβαλλόντων IoT, OT και κινητών συσκευών, δηλαδή υποδομών που πολλές παραδοσιακές στρατηγικές ασφάλειας εξακολουθούν να μην αντιμετωπίζουν επαρκώς. Αυτές οι ανησυχίες δεν είναι εξειδικευμένες ή δευτερεύουσας σημασίας. Αντιθέτως, αποτελούν πραγματικά και σημαντικά κενά ασφάλειας που αντιμετωπίζουν σήμερα οι οργανισμοί σε όλους τους κλάδους, συχνά χωρίς την απαραίτητη ορατότητα ή προστασία. Ο κίνδυνος όμως δεν περιορίζεται μόνο στην εσωτερική υποδομή: η έκθεση στην εφοδιαστική αλυσίδα παραμένει μία από τις πιο υποτιμημένες επιφάνειες επίθεσης, με απειλές που εισέρχονται μέσω συστημάτων τρίτων και προμηθευτών, τα οποία βρίσκονται εκτός του παραδοσιακού περιμετρικού πλαισίου ασφάλειας.
